Intro
In her own words
“Hi, I'm Naomi! Thanks for stopping by. Volleyball is one of my greatest passions, but my faith, my family, and my Tongan heritage are what matter most. I'm grateful for opportunities like earning 2026 All American Honorable Mention, All-District honors, reaching the UIL Texas State Final Four, and finishing 3rd at USA Nationals, but those are just milestones along the journey. Every day is another chance to grow, compete, and become a little better than I was before.”

My Game
Player identity
The player behind the film: how I play, how I help a team, and how I respond when the game asks more from me.
Player identity
“I play with passion, energy, and heart! I'm a vocal leader who loves bringing teammates together, making smart decisions and giving 100% every time I compete. Volleyball for me is about more than winning...it's about serving my teammates, getting better and growing, and enjoying the journey with my best friends.”

Competitive response
After mistakes
After a mistake I usually shake it off with a next-play mindset.
Reset tool
To reset I usually try to focus on my teammates success to take any self pressure I have on myself.
At my best
I'm at my best when I'm with people I love on the court. This game is so fun!
Still building
To remember I can't control the outcome so quit worrying about it and work hard and have a blast.

The context around this chapter — the stage, situation, and current transition someone should understand right now.
Current chapter
“I've played Outside Hitter, Opposite and Middle Blocker so I guess I'm a true Pin. I love being creative with my setters and doing fun quick plays and moving around the net. I've been playing for Austin Juniors and had an incredible run at Nationals; Top 3 in the country with some of my very best friends.”
Active focus
I'm constantly working on being faster, quicker arm swing, jumping higher, passing accuracy and better at the fundamentals every single day. Currently training with people like Kim Maroon, she's helped with my passing fundaments in addition to what I've learned from my AJV and Salado coaches.

Who I Am
Beyond the player
In my own words
“When I'm not playing volleyball, you'll usually find me with my family. My faith in Jesus Christ, my Tongan culture, and the traditions we've built together mean everything to me. I love being outside playing pickup sports, making memories with my younger siblings, or spending a relaxing night watching a good show with my family.”
Values
Value
My family and I are members of The Church of Jesus Christ. I try to live like Him and learn from his life through the scriptures. He was the ultimate leader.
My family and I are members of The Church of Jesus Christ. I try to live like Him and learn from his life through the scriptures. He was the ultimate leader.
I am the 3rd of 5 children. We were able to welcome my little brother and little sister into our family and helping raise them has taught me so much. I love my sisters and brother so much.
My father comes from a first generation Tongan family. His father came over from the island of Tonga and this culture of love, service and spirit is a huge part of our family.
I've learned through service, work and other jobs how important it is to give back. I've loved working with many of the kids in our community through volunteer service, camps and other things that helps me look outside myself.
Every business that my parents have run, they've involved us in every step. I've loved putting on different Alpha Leadership events (like this one collaborating with MLV), it's taught me so much confidence in my abilities.
My mom played volleyball at Washington State, my father played football at BYU and my aunts played at St. Francis, BYU and professionally beyond.
My dad has spent the past five years working as Dwayne Johnson's photo and stunt double. His job has brought many fun opportunities for our family.
Support + growth
Direct feedback helps me grow when its clear and constructive.
I want to be held in a high standard in a healthy way.
I appreciate a good relationship with my coaches. Jokes, fun, all of it.
After mistakes I continue to learn to be present and reset.
I am working on staying locked in when pressure rises.

I try to help my teammates feel seen and important
I don't like to waste a lot of time. I like to get things done in the weight room and on the court.
No matter what position I've been put in, I like to do my best. From Outside to Opposite to Middle Blocker, I like to be dominant in that position.
